For the first time, a student from the University of Zakho is selected for a leadership program in the United States.
Mr. Vian H. Hussein, a third-year Mechanical Engineering student at the College of Engineering, University of Zakho, has been chosen to participate in this prestigious program organized by the U.S. Consulate in Iraq and the international organization World Learning. This comes as recognition of his extensive voluntary work over several years and his active participation in numerous events and programs across the Kurdistan Region, Iraq, and Jordan.
Through this program, Vian will engage in activities designed to develop leadership skills, life management techniques, and communication abilities, which will equip him to excel in various professional and social settings. Furthermore, the program offers an opportunity for participants to deepen their understanding of American culture and values while sharing Kurdish culture with their American counterparts.
Additionally, Vian’s selection highlights the academic and extracurricular excellence of students at the University of Zakho. He will join other students from various universities in the U.S., further enhancing his skills.
